Sherri Shepherd

 Sherri Shepherd, an American comedian, actress author, writer and TV show host, was born on 22nd April 1967, in Chicago. She is the daughter LaVerne Shepherd and Lawrence Shepherd. Her father was a deacon at the family church. She also ran restaurants, while her mother was cleaning homes. Shepherd is the eldest of the couple's three daughters. She attended Hoffman High School.While working as a legal secretary in Beverly Hills, Shepherd began doing stand-up comedy. She ultimately decided to leave her job in order to pursue a career in entertainment once she was cast on the show that ran for only a short time, "Cleghorne!" The show aired on The WB network for one season in 1995. Shepherd was forced out of the show in 1995 due to financial difficulties. She remained for one year with her friends as she searched for job. In 1996, Shepherd was cast as guest on "The Jaime Foxx Show" created by Jaime Foxx. This sitcom ran until 2001. In the latter part of the 1990s she also got the recurring role in the sitcom "Suddenly Susan" (now "Everybody Loves Raymond")
