Michael Keaton is an American actor producer and director most well-known for his role in the film 'Birdman. Keaton is an actor with a variety of talents who is able to play comedic as well as dramatic roles. He has also portrayed some romantic characters as well as appeared in several action thrillers throughout his career. His interest in the performing arts started in his teens. He began to try stand-up comedy in his early 20s. While his stand-up comedy was not successful it helped in the development of his acting. Inability to make it as a comedian he took the job of a television cameraman in a cable station. He realized his real passion was in front the camera while he worked in the position. He then managed to land a television role and appeared in numerous shows in Mister Rogers Neighborhood. There was no doubt that he quickly became a popular television actor. After establishing a successful film career, his funny appearances brought him plenty of attention. His fame was further elevated when he won acclaim in the role of Batman in Tim Burton's Batman. With time he matured in his acting skills and ventured into production and direction. He received several nominations and awards for his performance in the 2014 film Birdman.
