Aisling Bea

Aisling was born on March 16, 1984, on the island of Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's most successful and popular comedians. She appeared on QI together with Stephen Fry. Aisling O'Sullivan, more popularly than her stage name Aisling Bea (born March 16, 1984), is an Irish writer, actress and comedian. Bea began her stand-up comedy career in 2011after having appeared in small parts on several Irish TV shows as well as British series since 2009. From 2012 on, Bea was appearing on sketch comedy shows or sitcoms. She began appearing regularly on panel shows after winning an award for in the Edinburgh Comedy Awards. In 2016 through 2017, she served as a captain on 8 Out of 10 Cats and a regular contestant in the show's follow-up show 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents were Brian O'Sullivan as well as Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead is the younger of her siblings. In 2012, she became the only woman to be awarded the So You Think You Are Funny Award. Bea, her maiden name, was a tribute to her father who passed away. Aisling Claiodhnadh Sullivan was born on the 16th of March, 1984 in Kildare, County Kildare. Bea's father Brian is an equine doctor who killed himself at the age of three. Bea didn't learn how her father died until after she reached the age of thirteen. The stage name she chose was Bea to honor her father who passed away. She also wrote a 2017 article in The Guardian on her family's suicide experience. Bea as well as her older sister Sinead was raised in the home of Helen Moloney (n e Moloney) an ex-jockey as well as a teacher at a secondary school. The family was obsessed with racing meetings and horses. When she was a child, Bea worked as an assistant tour guide in the Irish National Stud however she was aware from an early age that she wasn't attracted to the race industry as a career and instead enjoyed performing.
